FORGE/BY TRADE/ROOFING
i.FORGE — FOR ROOFING CONTRACTORS

The roof is still a roof.
The estimate is a different animal.

You lost the bid on the dormer because Aurora couldn't model it. The change-order on the rooftop unit died in your PM's email. Forge is the chest a working roofer would build for himself — because it was.

i.The chest — opened for roofing

The drawers that matter most
when the truck door opens.

I
Hyperion Scan
A · INSTRUMENT

iPad Pro LiDAR. Walk the roof, get geometry and penetrations to a fused point cloud, line-item estimate in sixty seconds. Patented and protected.

II
Estimating
B · ESTIMATE

TPO, EPDM, modified, ballast, single-ply — assemblies that match what your crew actually installs, not what a generic SaaS thinks roofing is.

III
Treasury
C · CHANGE-ORDER

The change-order writes itself off the scan delta. The PM signs from the truck. Nothing dies in email.

IV
Crew · Dispatch
D · SCHEDULE

GC slipped two weeks. Reshuffle the crew before the cost lands on your P&L. The schedule remembers what the GC forgot.

THE ONE NO ONE ELSE HAS
Hyperion — for roofing.

Sixty seconds from walking the parapet to a line-item bid. The dormer Aurora couldn't model is the dormer Hyperion built itself to model.

ii.What Forge replaces — for roofing

What a Founding Charter roofer typically consolidates from when they sign.

  • 01 · STACK ITEM
    AccuLynx
Project pipeline + CRM + estimating for residential-tier work. Founding Charter operators usually leave because the commercial side of the business needs assemblies and change-order tooling AccuLynx doesn't carry.
  • 02 · STACK ITEM
    ServiceTitan
Dispatch + CRM. Replaces fine for residential service. Commercial re-roof + retrofit work outgrows it; the federation is the difference.
  • 03 · STACK ITEM
    Aerial-imagery reports
Aerial measurement reports. Stay useful for properties Hyperion can't safely access. Founding Charter operators report mixing the two for the first season, then dropping them for the bulk of commercial work.
  • 04 · STACK ITEM
    Aurora (residential solar attachment)
Aurora is built for solar; for the roofers who run a solar attachment, Hyperion's same-day in-field scan replaces Aurora's aerial imagery for the geometry the roof actually has today.
WHEN NOT TO CHOOSE FORGE

If the bulk of work is single-family residential reroofs and a single estimator handles bidding from a desk, the existing stack may be a better fit. Founding Charter is built for the operator with multiple commercial crews and a change-order trail to defend.

Forge is the first software we've ever run the business on. Mark walked me through Hyperion on a real commercial roof, and now we bid right from the truck door — the crew thinks I hired a second estimator.

iii.Questions a working operator asks

The honest answers,
without the sales gloss.

01.
How accurate is Hyperion compared to a manual takeoff?

Forge publishes a single accuracy figure for Hyperion: ±0.8% on commercial flat and low-slope geometry, ±2% on tighter, more complex geometry. The methodology behind that figure — comparison baselines (certified manual takeoffs and total-station survey), capture protocol, sample plan, reporting cadence — lives at /proof/hyperion-accuracy. The figure is currently published as methodology and sample plan; it graduates to a measured benchmark when the first independent third-party verification set completes. The page tracks updates with stated dates so the reader can see what changed and when.

02.
Does Forge replace ServiceTitan or AccuLynx for roofing?

Forge is the chest. Estimating, scheduling, CRM, dialer, change-orders, payroll, and Hyperion are all native modules in one federation, not bolted-on integrations. Founding Charter operators have moved off ServiceTitan, AccuLynx, and Aurora — usually cancelling three subscriptions to do it.

03.
Will Hyperion work on my crew's existing iPads?

Hyperion requires iPad Pro M-series with the LiDAR sensor — iPad Pro 2020 onwards. iPadOS 18 minimum. We don't support older iPads because the LiDAR depth resolution on those rigs isn't honest enough to bid from. We won't ship a tool that lies to the operator.

04.
What does Founding Charter cost for a roofing operator?

Founding Charter: by application: roughly half off the modular stack you need, from $299/mo (MSRP $599), locked for the life of the subscription, ten seats (one claimed). Public pricing is a la carte from Forge Core $599/mo flat plus modules.

iv.The covenant — how to get in

Founding Charter is the operator who builds with the new tools first. Ten seats across all trades. Locked when filled. The rate doesn't move — ever — while the public list rises around you.
